Club Review : Club Princeton (Columbus, Ohio)

Club Princeton is one of the larger and better known swingers clubs in the midwest. Shortly after my wife and I started visiting swingers clubs in our hometown (Cincinnati), people started telling us that we needed to drive up to Columbus to check out Club Princeton. Needless to say, with so many recommendations, we knew we needed to check it out.

On to the review....

Facilities:

Club Princeton is a large club. The club itself is broken up into 2 separate areas, the "Bar and Dance club area" and the "Play area". Anyone who is in attendance is allowed in the bar and dance club area, but single men must be escorted by a woman or couple to go into the play area. There is a third "VIP area" as well, but the club charges and additional entry fee to have access to it, and since we did not pay the fee on our visit, I cant really say much about it.

The "dance club" portion of the club as a bar (all drinks must be checked in with the bartender when you arrive), pool table, buffet (Princeton had real food the night we went, not the typical bag of chips some clubs put out), dance floor, plenty of tables to sit at, and a nice fireplace sitting area. The bar and dancefloor area's have a distinct feel to them, and the fireplace and pool table area's provide for a quieter area for new friends to get to know eachother.

The "play area" of the club is even bigger than the dance club area. I honestly lost track of how many private rooms the club had, there were that many. Some rooms were a simple room with a bed, while many other rooms had themes (BSDM room,  a massage table room, a room with a one way mirror, a room with a doctors exam table, ect). There are several small group rooms, but the central zone of the play area is a very large room with multiple beds tiered beds in the center, and tent like "cabanas" all around the perimeter. The play area features a room with 2 small hot tubs, and a few small sitting areas as well. There are plenty of places to play at the Princeton Club, I cant imagine anyone would ever have trouble finding an available bed.

Club Princeton is clean and well maintained. The club itself is huge, and even with a very large crowd would never feel too crowded. There are plenty of bathrooms, and the locker room is large enough to accommodate the guests. Overall, I would say that Club Princeton has one of the best facilities I have seen at a lifestyle club.

Location :

Club Princeton is located on the west side Columbus Ohio. It is a 15 minute cab ride from downtown. The area where the club is located in appears to be rather underprivileged, and I would not recommend exploring the surrounding area before or after your visit. The parking lot does have a security fence around it and is well lit, so I would not be too concerned about parking your car at the club. The club itself is not too difficult to locate, and all the local cab drivers seem to know right where it is.

Clientele :

Club Princeton's members are a mix of out of towers and locals. I would estimate that 50% of the attendees were from Columbus, and the other 50% traveled to visit. The crowed as a whole seemed more white collar than blue collar, and most people in attendance were in their late 30's or 40's. There were a few people in their 20's and 50's as well. Most of the people in attendance were there as couples. Club Princeton allows single men, but their membership application requires single men to be referred by a couple, but the club as a whole is definitely set up with single women and couples in mind. The other members of the club were as a whole very friendly and welcoming of new people, and it was easy to talk to people and get to know them a little bit. Because the club is a mix of out of towners and locals, there can be a little bit of a divide between the two groups, but there was still plenty of people to talk to, regardless of what group you are in.

Prices :

Club Princeton is one of the more expensive clubs I have visited. If you live within 50 miles of the club, the annual membership fees are fairly steep, but out of town visitors receive a significant discount on the membership fee. The club is broken into 2 parts, and your nightly entrance fee only covers one part, an additional fee is required to access the "VIP Area". Like most clubs, single men pay the highest entry fee, and single women are significantly discounted.

Overall Impression :

I really enjoyed our visit to Club Princeton, but honestly, I was not totally blown away by it. This was likely a case of expectations being set too high in advance. The biggest issue the club seems to face is that it is split up into a "VIP" and "normal" area. This division breaks the club up, and on a slower night could make the club feel like there are not enough people there. It also makes an already expensive club even more expensive for the visitor who wants the full experience. My wife and I have been talking about going back to Princeton sometime soon, but this time we are likely to try to get a small group of lifetyle friends together to go as a group. If you live within driving distance of Club Princeton it is definatelly worth checking out. The club is huge, well run, and offers a lot of rooms and experiences to explore. There are lots of potential new friends at the club, the food is good, and the staff is friendly. Princeton does alot of things right, and it is an excellent destination club, but as good as it is, it would not be my first choice for an "every weekend" club. The higher prices (particularly for locals) and the lower number of frequent local visitors make it harder to form the stronger friendships that many swingers enjoy.

If you have been to Club Princeton, please feel free to share your experiences with us in the comments section, we love to hear your opinions and stories.
